Why Health Services Management?
I wasn't sure what I wanted to major in at first, but once I discovered Health Services Management from my peer mentor, I realized it aligned closely with my interest in healthcare and my desire to make an impact beyond direct patient care. I was drawn to the field because it focuses on improving how healthcare systems operate, ensuring patients receive quality care, and supporting the organizations and professionals who make care possible.
From there, my passion for health administration and healthcare operations continued to grow as I became more interested in areas such as finance, management, and the role strong leadership plays in creating efficient and equitable healthcare services.
